At Courtney Lowry Architect, our single family residential project types range from new, homes to residential additions, alterations, interior renovations, finished attics and basements, and everything in between.  We work directly with homeowners, engineers, builders, & developers.

In working with our small firm, you will receive a boutique style architectural experience where we offer very high quality custom designs and flexible one on one service from the principal architect.

About the founder:

Courtney Lowry Architect, LLC was established in 2017 by principal architect Courtney Lowry, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP.  Ms. Lowry studied architecture at The New Jersey Institute of Technology, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelors of Architecture.  In 2006, she completed her Masters of Science in Infrastructure Planning degree, also from N.J.I.T. Ms. Lowry has over 20 years full-time working experience, licensed in New Jersey, LEED Accredited, and NCARB certified.  With NCARB certification, she can practice in almost all states. There is evidence of her architectural work throughout NJ in hundreds of homes and spaces. She is a long time member of the Central NJ Section of the American Institute of Architects. She served as Board Secretary and was recently elected as President-Elect for 2026.

Courtney Lowry Architect specializes in working closely with clients to deliver plans that maximize space and budget through smart designs and personal creativity. In 2014, Ms. Lowry received the Woodbridge Township Mayor’s Volunteer Appreciation Award for 8+ years of volunteer service to the community where she grew up through participation with the Woodbridge Township Historic Preservation Commission.  She currently serves as Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, and Education Committee Chairperson. In 2013, Ms. Lowry received an Award of Excellence for the Best Residential Addition over $750,000 in conjunction with Geiss Custom Home Builders of Short Hills as awarded by the Metropolitan Builders Contractors Association of New Jersey.

In February 2026, Courtney Lowry Architect, LLC was awarded Best of Houzz in Customer Service for the 8th year in a row!

Courtney is also a wife and mom to an energetic 4 year old and infant daughter. She enjoys jogging, being outdoors, gardening, networking with other female business owners, and reading in her spare time.
